IIST Indore boasts of a technical library which is spread in a whopping 15,000 sq ft. The library has a vast collection of business magazines, pharmacy books, national and international journals and periodicals which prove to be of immense value to the students.

This modern library is devoted in entirety to the scholastic requirements of students and faculty members. The library also has a separate section for newspapers where newspapers from around the world are displayed for the benefit of the students and faculty members.

The library at IIST is equipped with contemporary document archival and duplication machines and is effectively looked after and managed by a Chief Librarian who is assisted in his task by seven assistants.

This E-Library is successfully providing e-resource to all student and faculty members. Along with books and journals one can also access multitudes of video lectures, e-books, online journals (through subscription of INDEST, DELNET), simulator on curriculum subjects and other digital resources to facilitate learning and research.

It would be worth recounting here that the library has 52000 text-books, more than 1500 video lectures related to myriad topics of engineering and management, 120 simulation of Physics and Mathematics, 200 application of engineering, over 640 e-book are available in the library which also has a huge data bank of emerging minor and major projects for the benefit of students and faculty.

The library also offers book bank facility to all the students which allows each student to issue six books for a semester. Moreover, students can also issue additional books if refereed by the faculty. To ensure that students can access international journals the library also subscribes to DELNET and INDEST.
