We at IIST/IIP/IIMR believe in holistic development of the students that can only be achieved through integration of extracurricular activities with academics. This vision has propelled us to come up with our annual event ‘DAZZLE – 2K24’. Dazzle-24, this year has been a wonderful celebration wherein students enjoyed so many exciting activities throughout the week.
A week full of fun frolic techno cultural activities started from 15th March 2024 when a special screening of “Yodha” movie was organized under FILMOTSAV for all the students, faculty, and staff of IIST-IIP-IIMR. This movie screening was completely sponsored by the management of the Group Institutes. This movie screening also provided an opportunity to connect with the HR partners. 102 HRs from 56 companies engaged in this outreach activity.
On March 18, 2024, the inter-college annual sports competition of IIST-IIP-IIMR was concluded under the gracious presence of Hon. Shri Arun S. Bhatnagar Sir, Principals and HoDs. Various tournaments like Basket Ball, Cricket, Volley Ball, Pickle Ball, Chess and Table Tennis were organized where competitions were played between the winning teams of the three institutes. A 24 hour internal hackathon was also hosted for students on 18th-19th March at IIST Indore with problem statements of Smart Education, Rural Development and Smart Automation. Rangoli, Painting, Photography and Film Making Competitions were also organized from 18th-20th March. A Robo Race was held on March 20, 2024 and this exciting event saw over 143 students from 82 teams compete in three key categories. Throughout the day, students showcase their skills in coding, robotics, design, and engineering as they tackle challenging race tracks, aiming for the most efficient and smooth run. The day also witnessed the grand finale of Ideathon 2024 and Model Parliament. It has been an incredible journey filled with innovation, creativity, and collaboration.
On 21st March 2024, Hon. Group Advisor Shri Arun S Bhatnagar Sir formally inaugurated the Dazzle-2024. Principal Commissioner Income tax Shri S. B. Prasad and Hon’ble Group Advisor Shri Arun S Bhatnagar inaugurated a colourful and vibrant cultural program of dance, music and fashion show. Star Achiever’s Awards were also presented to meritorious students and all-rounders. Students performed dance; a dance battle between Indian classical and Hip Hop was presented by IIMR students in a very elegant manner. Krishna Leela was also depicted by students in a very mesmerizing way. The student’s performance reflected a great zeal and energy. The performances captivated the audience with its choreography, synchronization, and energy.
Institute witnessed a mesmerizing demonstration of style and elegance as it played host to a glistening fashion show. The event was divided into two attractive segments – Western Wear and Traditional Wear – showcased a multitude of trends, creativity, and cultural richness. Adding a touch of grandness to the event was the presence of the esteemed Group Director of Indore Institute, who graced the runway as the showstopper with the respected principals of all the three institutions. Their dignified presence and charisma illuminated the stage, elevating the ambiance of the show to unparalleled heights. A symbol of support and encouragement, his participation underscored the college’s commitment to nurturing talent and fostering creativity among its students.
A musical evening was organized on 21 March where Ms. Ishita Vishwakarma, winner of popular TV show Saregamapa and Mr. Sahil Solanki presented a bouquet of all-time favourite melodious songs. Students danced and enjoyed every bit of this musical evening which left a life cherishing memories in the hearts and minds of everyone.
The one week Dazzle-24 celebration finally ended with colorful and joyous “Faagotsav”. On the last day i.e. on 22 March 2024, a Kavi Sammelan was organised by Abhivyanjana Club of IIST-IIP-IIMR, wherein students presented their poetries on the topic Holi. Quiz Competition on Current Affairs, Sports, Business and Economics was also organized in the first half. The second half had fun filled Holi-Geet, i.e. Holi songs presented by invited artists. Students and faculty members attended the program in theme based attires.
Dazzle 2K24 left everlasting memories in the minds of the students, along with the anticipation of even more dazzling fests to look forward to in the years ahead.
