EDC CELL

1. Objectives Of Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC)

 

The Cell is introduced with a view to encourage students to consider self-employment as a career option.

  1. To create an environment for self-employment and entrepreneurship development through formal and non-formal programmes.
  2. To develop management personnel at appropriate levels for the non-corporate and unorganized sectors like education, rural development, small-scale industry etc.
  3. To utilize the infrastructure facilities and technically trained manpower for the development of non-corporate and unorganized sectors.
  4. To support the development of tomorrow’s leaders by cultivating the entrepreneurial spirit.

2. Functions of EDC Cell

 

  1. Organize Skill development programmes.
  2. Arrange Expert lectures by successful entrepreneurs and provide a platform for interaction between professional entrepreneurs and student entrepreneurs.
  3. Try to bridge the gap between demand and supply of manpower through self employment as a feasible option.
