On occasion of world intellectual property day, Indore institute of management and research has organized the webinar on Safeguarding Ideas Intellectual Property Rights and Protection. Mr. Gaurav Ojha Solution Consultant from Clarivate-Nodia was the resource person. He gave a brief introduction on IPR and explained the various related terms such as copyrights, patents etc.

It also covers other categories of rights, like rights to morality, trade secrets, publicity, and protection from unfair rivalry. Intellectual property can include creative works such as music and literature, as well as certain discoveries, inventions, words, phrases, symbols, and designs.
Encouraging the creation of diverse intellectual commodities is the primary goal of intellectual property legislation. The term “intellectual property rights” generally refers to the transfer of property rights via trademarks, patents, and copyrights. For a predetermined amount of time, the holder of these property rights can use the item exclusively.
