About Indore

Indore has a rich variety of historical, conventional and natural heritage. It is located right at the heart of the country. Indore is 200 km west of capital Bhopal and has a population of around 30 lakhs. Therefore, it is 14th most populous city in India. Transport Connectivity


Indore is well-connected by all means i.e road, rail and air; with also local transport. The main public transport operator in the city is the Indore City Transport Service Corporation Ltd (ICTSL), which is the largest CNG powered bus service operator in Central India. The buses are GPS enabled and equipped with LED monitors which displays the arrival timings of the buses and passenger information with simplified navigation. It is further connected to Khandwa Town by the Khandwa Toll Road, towards south of the city and to Ujjain in the north-west.


In terms of rail services, Indore is a part of the Western Railway network. Indore is directly connected to all other major cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and others. Indore has its own airport as well called Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport.
