The Career Development Cell (CDC) at Indore Institute of Management and Research is constituted with the aim to enhance the employability quotient of the students by grooming them for soft skills, aptitude and English communication.
PERSONALITY GROOMING
Career Development cell conducts communication classes for the students from across all programs. Personality grooming is defined as a process of developing and enhancing one’s personality by gaining confidence and increasing self-esteem. No two individuals are similar. Personality is nothing but the aggregate conglomeration of memories and incidents in an individual’s entire life span. Environmental factors, family background, financial conditions, genetic factors, situations and circumstances also contribute to an individual’s personality.
CDC cell provides dedicated classes during regular academic session along with crash courses on variety of allied areas. The cell also conducts Expert Lectures on personality grooming from time to time along with the sessions allotted as per the time table. The students learn to improve on their Speaking skills, Reasoning, Group Discussions, Interview skills, Verbal Ability and crack Mock Tests in the course of time.
APTITUDE TRAINING
CDC provides quantitative aptitude classes for students aspiring for good careers and those opting for higher studies including Government exams.As aptitude tests are considered to be the measure of general intelligence and majority of companies, institutions use aptitude tests as their selection criteria, therefore job-seekers especially freshersmust be well-versed with concepts related to aptitude. Most of the jobs in the corporate world also expect employees to expand their skill set through additional training. Aptitude tells about the mental ability and analytical skills ofindividuals.
At the institute the students are trained on the diverse areas of Quantitative Aptitude Skills, Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension and Speaking Skills.
FOREIGN LANGUAGE
Learning a Foreign language provides a competitive edge and opportunities for students incareer over the other students.The advantages of learning foreign languages are mushrooming day by day with the increasing global acceptance in the world. Thus being bilingual is now perhaps the most useful asset in today’s world. Some of the foreign Languages taught here are –

The cell is proactive in making students mindful and generates interest in students with respect to higher examinations through advising and directing them with the help of in-house and visiting specialists.
