A research workshop was conducted from June 26, 2024 to July 01, 2024. Primarily, the goal of this workshop was to enrich IIMR faculty with special skill set in the form of data analysis using Python. This 5 days’ workshop with resource person, Mr Shivang Trivedi started with the background, importance, applications and finally the installation of Visual Studio for python coding. Faculty also learnt about syntax, variable assignment, and data types. Further, some programs were assigned to incorporate various loops, else-if, while and other logical conditions. Last two days were dedicated to Jupyter notebook and writing codes on that. Faculty were assigned numerous MCQs to facilitate the speed of their thinking ability.
It was a wonderful experience of learning a programming language as it is essential in today’s era where, everything is stored digitally. Learning data analysis through python has surely motivated IIMR faculty. Based on the feedback of the faculties and their ignited enthusiasm of learning advanced Python along with and support of IIMR Principal, another workshop will be planned in coming months.
