In an initiative under Institutional initiative- “Anupradan” under the aegis of Sadashay Club, the Library and Resource Centre started a Book Donation Drive. The inauguration of this initiative was organized on 6th December 2023, Wednesday in Panini Granthalaya. The event was graced by the presence of Chief Guest- Shri Arun S Bhatnagar (Group Advisor SEWS/Sparsh), Principal IIP- Dr. Namita Manocha, teaching and non-teaching staff of the Institute and students of IIMR.
The event started with a welcome note by Principal IIMR- Dr. Aradhana Chouksey. She also took up the dais to equate the importance of Book Donation to that of Blood Donation, Food Donation and likewise. She emphasized on the importance of this Book Donation Drive which will create a common place for all book lovers to get a collection of variety of books at one place itself
Shri Bhatnagar instilled a traditional thought in the young minds, that it is indispensable to be progressing with the fast-moving world. But it is equally necessary to read as many good books as possible as it not only adds to the knowledge and exposure of the students, but also changes their frequency of thoughts and adds value to their quality of life.
Mr. Vikky Kushwaha (Librarian) took the dais to explain the entire book donation drive, the letter of appreciation for donors, future plans to make library resource centre, and all other details.
The Vote of Thanks was extended by Dr. Shijji Shukla (Library Coordinator) who thanked management, faculty members, staff members, all the students and coordinators who contributed to make the event successful
